Dr Nana Talks Faith
the Heart of a Nana. the Mind of a mentor.
Meet “Dr Nana.”
Hi, I’m Dr. Tricia Scribner, “Nana” to ten grandkids. After I finished my seminary PhD, my grandson, “D,” asked, “So, do we call you Dr. Nana now?”
After 16 years in seminary, studying the Bible, examining evidences for the truth of Christianity, comparing different religions, and digging into the logic, history, science, and philosophy supporting our beliefs about ultimate reality, I found my trust in Jesus Christ was well placed!
I now want to help women get the knowledge and confidence to answer the hard questions about our faith, respond to our doubts, and train our kin kids in the truth and why Christianity is the best explanation of reality.
When we know the answers to basic questions, we can talk with our loved ones, like our kids and grandkids, about the good reasons for believing Christianity is true and how to counter competing worldview claims.
Think about conversations you could have if you could confidently answer the following questions:
- Who is Jesus Christ?
- Why should I believe Jesus Christ rose from the dead?
- How do we know we can trust what the New Testament writers wrote?
- How do we know we have what the original New Testament said?
- Did Jesus ever claim to be God?
- Can you believe in science and in the possibility of miracles at the same time?
- How can God exist since there is so much evil in the world?
- Are the core beliefs of all religions basically the same?
- Does science show everything came into existence by chance? and more . . .
When I serve as a speaker with Mama Bear Apologetics, I love teaching on topics that equip Christians with knowledge about their faith and the reasons Christianity makes the most sense of reality. I am available for in-person events, virtual events, and podcast episodes.
As a speaker with Mama Bear Apologetics, I can teach and equip your group in person or online. I teach on topics such as the essentials of the gospel, evidence for the existence of God, evidence for the deity of Jesus, including His resurrection, and how to teach grandkids to know and stand strong in the truth.

What’s a Nana to Do? When Your Grandkids’ Parents Aren’t Christians and Ban God Talk
